A Treasure Trove or Smorgasbord

Hello all, I haven't been up to too much. This week I've been trying to keep up with all my metaphysics reading. I'm a slow philosophy reader, especially because I really mark my books up, ha. I also have been spending valuable time with my 3 dogs and I've been doing some wedding planning...I hate wedding planning. Wait, what? :P It's really not that bad.

I've also been looking for a dang job since I just left the last one because I couldn't do what they wanted me to with a clean conscience. At this point I'll do almost any job, so I'm also applying everywhere. But alas, no one's hiring, and there's only a limited amount of seasonal openings which are already taken. Grrrr.

So I don't know why I've been searching around for good sites recently but I've built up quite a collection. I thought I would share this with you guys. I've been trying to read blogs less though because I strongly believe that it's better that I read more books than more blog posts. This isn't just an assortment of blogs but also of articles and sites. Anyway, here it is, enjoy!

THEOLOGY
  1. Check out the forums on the new site in which young reformed evangelicals gather.
  2. Did you know Zondervan has a sweet, academic blog called Koinonia!? William Mounce posts every Monday, I see John Walton posting as well, and they seem to always have guest bloggers.
  3. Also on the Zondervan blog, don't forget to check out Constantine Campbell's series on Greek verbal aspect.
  4. NT Wrong's first ever biblioblog Top 50 is worth looking at.
  5. Darrell Bock's blog (professor at Dallas Theological Seminary).
  6. Better Bibles - devoted to productively critiquing our modern English bibles.
  7. Read Better Preach Better just seems like a very good blog with a different focus than academia.
  8. Andreas Kostenberger's blog (professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary), though he hasn't posted for about a month.
  9. John Stackhouse's blog (professor at Regent).
  10. President of Fuller Theological Seminary, Richard Mouw's blog.
  11. BeThinking - a great apologetics resource.
  12. NT Wright Page - an unofficial website dedicated to the bishop of Durham.
  13. William Lane Craig comprehensive debate page.
PHILOSOPHY
  1. Sorry there's not really blogs listed here because they're generally not that good.
  2. "Advice to Christian Philosophers" by Alvin Plantinga.
  3. "Two Dozen (or so) Theistic Arguments" by Alvin Plantinga.
  4. "Quam Dilecta" by Peter Van Inwagen.
  5. "The Inner Ring" by C. S. Lewis.
  6. "The Rationality of Belief in Inerrancy" by J. P. Moreland.
  7. Some dork completely misrepresenting the people she's writing about on "Creationists" and the brain. Here is the response by the Evangelical Philosophical Society (it's near the bottom).
POLITICS
  1. Pretty dang useful site to see how senators, representatives, candidates, etc., have voted in the past.
  2. I've only seen the one on Reagan, but it's a PBS series on some key presidents.
  3. The relevant family codes concerning same-sex marriage, see especially the .5 section.
  4. I'm really trying to get into the practice of writing my representative.
  5. Whilst on the subject, why not write to my senators too?
OTHER
  1. Gotta love National Geographic photography.
  2. MANY answers to MANY questions at the Astronomy Cafe.
  3. Pretty cool site on dog training.
  4. Q & A about dogs.
  5. Watch Star Trek online!
  6. Remember Mystery Science Theater 3000? Oh RiffTrax, how I love thee!

These are some sweet links sam! I particularly enjoy the WLC debates (which are downloading as I type) and the Star Trek Episodes (although I can watch them from my F drive, haha).

Does Craig ever debate in SoCal?

Thanks. I'm not sure if he ever does but I'll go to the next one if he does! Too bad he doesn't live around here.
